a doodle is a doodle until it’s not. sometimes a doodle becomes a pattern. sometimes a doodle becomes an image. a doodle is always hanging around the edges of my consciousness, waiting to squiggle out onto paper, canvas, wood, whatever. a doodle just wants to be born so it can become something else.
