About the Artist

I am a contemporary modern artist or something along those lines. My work is rooted in the ethos of the boomer generation. vibrant. under the influence. wondering and wandering. confronting. I am also neurodiverse. I share this with you because I want you to know the styles and palettes I use conspire with messaging to create images that reflect a culmination of my journey, roads taken and decisions made, all of which have been affected by the complexities of neurodiversity before I ever knew the meaning of the word neurodiversity.

My preferred mediums are oils and acrylics. I create stylized art somewhat reminiscent of the pop art style of the boomer era, known for wildly vivid, saturated color. I have a propensity, or if I’m truthful, an undeniable compulsion, to explore extremes as I am constantly negotiating high-contrast emotional and conceptual states. My lines, shapes, and patterns are apt to be boundaries or boundless. The high-contrasting colors I use are symbolic of the road taken or not taken. Somewhere in the middle is my truth, driven and supported by my understanding of humanity, spirituality, feminism, and politics as I strive for my works to resonate a shared human experience.

as a woman with a past, an artist highly addicted to extremes though properly seasoned by the nuanced gray areas that exist between, I navigate the world and life thoughtfully, and likely with a generous side-eye wariness.
